Tara Memorial Swimming Pool
A great community project

This plaque recognises the contribution of volunteers in the construction of the Tara Memorial Swimming Pool.

Construction of the Olympic-sized pool began in June 1962 with approximately 4,800 voluntary hours used during the  construction atage. The pool opened for use in late 1963.

These works declared open by the Mayor of Tara Shire Cr Philip Bougoure on the 5th February 2005
