The plaque commemorates the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Launceston Technical College.

To commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the foundation of the Launceston Technical College the Mayor (Alderman. A. E. Wyett) will this afternoon unveil a tablet set in the Wellington-street wall of the College. The unveiling ceremony will precede the opening of a jubilee fair organised by the Junior Technical School, and will take place at 3 p.m.
