The cross commemorates the "Triple Thanksgiving Celebrations" held in September 2014 by milestones of St Brigid`s Parish.
These were 125 years of St Bridgid`s Parish, 126 years of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Sacred Heart in Quirindi, and 50 years of the Catholic Women`s League Quirindi Branch.

Commemoratuve cross was blessed an unveiled on the Feast Day of St Brigid 1st February 2015 by Father Roel Liave Parish Priest of St Bridgid`s Quirindi
The sandstone used to make this cross were the steps of the entrance to the first Catholic Church at Wallabadah
