Front Inscription
This Tropic of Capricorn Fountain and Surrounds were erected by the Shire Chairman Councillor J. G. Walker, M.B.E. to perpetuate the sterling effort, courage and fortitude of the pioneers of this area.
It was accepted by the Hon. W. A. R. Rae, M.L.A. on behalf of the citizens on 15th April 1970
