Front Inscription
This sign was erected by the Stansbury Progress Association, Museum Committee and the Schilling family, to acknowledge the importance of this historic site and the sacrifices of our early pioneers
The Stansbury Cemetery was on this reserve from 1873 to c1895. Up to 50 burials occurred here prior to the cemetery being relocated to the present site
The large stone grave marks the final resting place for Marie Elizabeth Louise Altmann (nee Seelaender) wife of Johann Wilhelm Altmann who died 16th October, 1874
The tall pointed memorial is in memory of Helen Page who died 5th August 1876
