A monument commemorates Soldier Settlers of the area.
After World War Two, hundreds of returned soldiers took part in the soldier settler scheme designed to reinvigorate our primary industries. Large tracts of land across most states of Australia were developed in this way growing new communities and creating a new generation of farmers.
