Plaque :
This tree was planted in memory of Mr. John Reisz
(1922 - 2009) affectionately known as `Johnny`.
He was an active member of the local business community and a well respected identity. Throughout his life he supported numerous community events, including the provision of the sound system for 63 consecutive Latrobe ANZAC Day services.
As the projectionist and manager of the Capitol Theatre, Johnny truly was our own very last picture show man who was always "singing in the rain."
He was a loving family man, a caring gentleman and a returned veteran (Bougainville 1943).
