Frank Pemberton Chartres
1st Nov. 1915 - 24th June 2000
This seat is dedicated to the memory of Frank Chartres who became a valued friend and integral part of the community during his many visits here up until 1997.
Between 1965 & 1974 Frank made a record 37 flights on the magnificent Sunderland Flying Boats to his beloved L.H.I.
He is remembered for his extraordinary kindness, generosity, helpfulness and ingenuity, Frank will be sadly missed.
