These gates were erected in recognition of the services provided to the Tara Show Society by W. F. (Bill) McNamara from 1933 to present day.

Officially opened by His Excellency the Hon. Sir Walter Campbell, A.C.Q.C. Governor of Queensland on 10th March 1989.
