This park recognises the service to the District of Dirranbandi by John Thomas (Jack) Dwyer
1917 - 1997
Jack served on Balonne Shire Council, was Proprietor of Dirrranbandi Motors (Ford) for over three decades & was instrumental in the funding & building of the Convent Boarding School.
He led cricket, tennis, bowls & golf clubs & for 26 consecutive years was the Voice (Ground Announcer) for both Show & Rodeo.
