The plaque commemorates Ian Showell O.A.M. for starting the Jane Eliza Project and his service to the community of Renmark.
The Jane Eliza Waterfront Estate is a riverfront residential development located on the flood plain in Renmark, covering an area of approximately 500 hectares. The Waterfront Estate was originally conceived as a river based marina, tourist, commercial and residential development in 1986.
