Sybil IrvingPrint Page 
The Sybil Irving Memorial is a flowering cherry tree (Prunus serrulata) and seat with plaque on Alexandra Battery Reserve, overlooking the River Derwent. It was unveiled by Lady Burbury, wife of the Governor of Tasmania and dedicated by The Very Reverend H. J. L. Butterly on the 19th April 1978.
It commemorates her service to the Girl Guides Association, Victorian Society for Crippled Children & Adults, Red Cross Society, Australian Women`s Army Service, Women`s Royal Australian Army Corps and the Council on the Ageing.
Memorials to her are found in every State.
