The plaque commemorates Ranger and tourist camp operator, Albert Dundas Fergusson, affectionately known as ‘Fergy’.
Albert was a former Light Horse trooper who served in World War One and became the proprietor of the tourist camp at Cynthia Bay, Lake St Clair in about 1930. He built the original Pine Valley Hut for the modest sum of 31 pounds .
