The sheep paviliion commemorates W. A. Hartmann, a member of the Tenterfield Show Committee for over 40 years, a past vice-president and patron, chief steward of the sheep section and instigated the removal and re-building of the sheep pavilion on its present site.  He was also a staunch exhibitor.
