The gates constructed in 1986 by the Mullumbimby Agricultural Society Pty. Ltd. commemorate George and Rupert Harvison. The original plaque on the gates was replaced in 2019. 

In 1908, the Harvison family donated the land for the Mullumbimby Showground to the Mullumbimby Agricultural Society.
