The seat and a fountain located in the north-western corner of the Chapel garden, commemorate Ruth Langford-Smith who died on 15 February, 1995. She was the wife of the then Headmaster, Ken Langford-Smith.
The central feature of the fountain is a fish, the symbol of the early Christian Church, and a reminder of Ruth Langford-Smith's favourite music, Schubert's 'Trout' Quintet.
