This park is dedicated to Andrew Robertson (1886 - 1960) who served as Town Clerk of the Townsville City Council for 26 years from 1924 until his retirement in 1950.
In a distinguished local government career Andrew Robertson also served as Shire Clerk at Hughenden, Proserpine and Ayr.
Active in the community, Andrew Robertson was a life member of the Townsville Sub-Branch of the RSL, a former President of the North Queensland District of the RSL, and past President of the Scartwater Trust.
