The cast iron drinking fountain commemorates John Miller who was Unley`s Town clerk from 1879 to 1903.
The Unley Corporation on Monday evening decided to erect a drinking fountain on Unley Road opposite to the town hall, and Mr. J. Martin, of Southwark, was commissioned to execute the work, at a cost not to exceed £30.
