Alderman Pendrill C. BlacketPrint Page
The tree was dedicated by the Bowral Municipal Council to commemorate Alderman Pendrill C. Blacket.
This tree can be seen in photos from the 1940’s of the original Band Rotunda. The Bhutan Cypress planting is 30m in height with a spread of 10m. This Cypress was later dedicated in 1960 to Alderman P.C.Blacket (a local architect whose work included the conversion of the Garden’s Bowling Club Building into the Kindergarten during the 1950s) with the placement of an etched stone block at its base. The tree has since grown in size and become joined with this memorial.
