The plaque commemorates Ambulance Officer Ian Clifford. The Ambulance Station was refurbished in his memory. 

Ian Clifford died as a result of an accident whilst serving the community in his role as ambulance paramedic. On an emergency call, the ambulance in which he was a passenger clipped the side of another vehicle and careered into a tree. He died instantly.
