The seat, dedicated by his family, his company, Southern Australia Livestock, and the Naracoorte and Lucindale District Council commemorates Frank Escott. The seat is a permanant memorial of his dedication to the saleyards.
Frank Escott was the founder of Southern Australia Livestock and well-known rural identity who died at the age of 70 in 2003.
