Sacred to the memory of John Grant Esqr. Surgeon & c.,
Born at Edin. Jan. 26th 1827
Died April 30th 1856
This stone was erected by his friends and the inhabitants of Bacchus Marsh as a token of their respect for his memory, and their value of his labours in visiting the sick and affliced, and administering to their wants, labours which were
continued to the very day before his death.
