A clock commemorates Major General Harold Grimwade who commanded the 3rd Division Artillery during World War One. After World War One he commanded the 4th Division from 1926 to 1930.
At a meeting of the Frankston Council in June 1949, a motion was carried to erect a memorial clock tower to Major General Grimwade.
