The stained glass window commemorates Cecil Saunders who was Rector of the Parish from 1939 to 1955.

The Rev. Cecil Saunders, rector of Ulmarra, has been offered the position of rector of Bangalow, and yesterday advised the Bishop of Grafton (Right Rev. W. H. Stevenson) of his acceptance. Rev. C. Saunders has been rector of Ulmarra for about two years, and at Bangalow will succeed Canon Rigby who is going to Kyogle as July 1. Mr. Saunders will take up his work at Bangalow about the beginning of August.
