Reverend William Saumarez SmithPrint Page
The pulpit in the church commemorates Archbishop of Sydney, Reverend William Saumarez Smith, who dedicated the church on the 6th December 1902.
The pulpit promised to St. Aidan`s (C.E.) by Mrs. Marshall during her visit to Blackheath last season has now arrived. It is a beautiful structure of polished oak, and was much admired by the congregation on Sunday.
Lithgow Mercury (NSW), 8 September 1909.
