An archway commemorates Neil Mackay Reid. The archway was originally erected in 1925 at the Monaro Grammar School where Neil had been a pupil. The school was relocated to Canberra in 1929.

A pupil of the Manaro Grammar school, Neil Mackay Reid, 13, son of Mr Thomas Reid, of Bush Hall, Berridale, was admitted to the Cooma hospital on Tuesday morning, suffering from an attack of diabetes, from which he died on Friday last.
