The seat commemorates Deb Kennedy who was killed in a motorcycle accident in Coldstream in September 2015.

A 40-year-old learner motorcyclist, she was travelling on the Maroondah Highway towards Coldstream when she veered onto the wrong side of the road while trying to negotiate a sweeping left-hand bend.  She collided front on with a four-wheel drive coming from the opposite direction.
