In memory of Lionel Moody and Alexander Lucuz who died in the construction of the first high level bridge over the Barron River at Kuranda in November 1962.

The plaque was unveiled by  the Hon. Ken Hayward MLA Minister for Transport and Minister Assisting the Premier on Economic and Trade Development and Dr Lesley Clark MLA Member for Barron River on 9 May 1995.
