The plaque details that $2000 was donated towards the cost of the building, by the Lions Club, who raised the money at an air pageant held near Minlaton to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Adelaide to Minlaton Air Mail flight flown by Captain Harry Butler in 1919.

This amount was raised at an Air Pageant organised by the Club & held near Minlaton 10th August 1969.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1st Air Mail flown from Adelaide to Minlaton by Captain Harry Butler, A. F. C.
